Garmin 1390 LMT
Garmin 1390 LMT
Free Map UpdatesThe Garmin 1390 LMT is packed with features that you come to expect with Garmin products. As is with some of the newer Garmin models, the 1390 LMT comes with free lifetime map upgrades as well as free traffic2 updates. Your traffic information updates are done on a constant basis while the maps can be upgraded 4 times a year.
Lane Assist
If you are like me and tend to get confused in complicated interchanges that you have never been in before and end up taking the wrong exit and get lost, then you are going to love this feature as it was made for people like us. Lane assist takes the guess work out of getting off at an exit. The 1390 LMT will prompt you to be in a certain lane as you approach you exit or egress point so you don't have to make those dangerous crazy lane changes at the last second. It will display junctions and road signs along the route and has arrows that will indicate what lane you are to be in. Per the manufacturer, "lane assist with junction view is available in select metropolitan areas".

Conclusion
While no product you are going to buy is perfect so goes the 1390 LMT. While minor issues at best some people will not like the adverts that pop up on the screen when the vehicle comes to a stop. Another complaint and not just on this model is the battery indicator or lack of. This battery will work for about 4 hours so you have to keep track of the time used. Other than that you can’t go wrong with this guy.
